Cala en Blanes is one of the favourite residential areas among visitors to Menorca, as it offers all the services needed for a peaceful holiday on the island.
It has an ideal location, just a stone’s throw from the quiet cove of the same name, and 3km from Ciutadella, meaning those who stay here can enjoy beaches and nature as well as strolls through the most beautiful city in Menorca.
Just a short walk from our apartments in Cala en Blanes, you’ll find gorgeous Mediterranean coves such as Cala en Blanes (15 minutes), Cala en Brut (13 minutes) and Cala en Forcat (10 minutes).
Some of Menorca’s most popular beaches are also found just a few kilometres away.
One of the best options is swimming in the waters of Cala en Blanes, a beach which, despite its small size, has all the services you need: lifeguards, hammocks, pedal boats, a beach bar, etc. Be sure to check out the palm grove, a spot where various concerts, including the Menorca International Jazz Festival, take place in the spring and summer months.
The Camí dels Cavalls, a historic path that served as a defence for the island from 1330, passes through Cala en Blanes. Nowadays, this part of Menorca’s historical heritage is one of the best ways to discover the island’s coastline on foot. The section that goes from Punta Nati to Ciudadela, one of 20 stages, can be walked via Cala en Blanes.
Ciutadella, a must-see during your holiday in Menorca, is just a few minutes from Cala en Blanes by car. In Ciutadella you can stroll the charming streets, browse traditional shops, enjoy a drink by the beautiful port and, of course, sample exquisite Menorcan gastronomy.
